Rohan Watson Counselling and Coaching is located near the Toowoomba CBD in Queensland, Australia.  

Owner and Practice Principal Rohan Watson, is a dedicated and passionate Psychotherapist, Counsellor, and Clinical Supervisor committed to a simple ethos of helping people more smoothly navigate life’s challenges and opportunities.

Rohan is a down-to-earth communicator highly experienced in supporting clients from all walks and seasons of life, and possesses professional qualifications in the fields of psychology, counselling, and education from Monash University and USQ.

Our Practice caters to clients with a wide range of mental health needs, lifestyle and life-transition challenges, management of complex emotional and behavioural patterns, and is a popular provider of Family Counselling and Couples Therapy.

As well, Rohan has researched Workplace Wellbeing and maintains a strong interest in this area, and he especially enjoys counselling or coaching leaders and business owners / managers.

Services are delivered in-person at our consulting suite in Russell Street, Toowoomba City, or via phone or online video-stream.

From time to time we may advertise positions vacant or call for Expressions of Interest.

We highly regard counselling candidates who are Toowoomba residents, authentic, genuinely enjoy helping people, prefer working in a small team, and possess relevant experience and academic qualifications with a university-level counselling specialisation.

EOI — COUNSELLOR

Part-Time   Toowoomba

We are currently accepting expressions of Interest from qualified registered counsellors who reside in Toowoomba Qld. Ideally, you’ll have professional counselling experience including delivery of relationship/couples therapy.  We seek counsellors able to embrace our values of openness and flexibility, positive outlook, integrity, stickability, and reliability.  You’ll be happy to grow within a highly ethical supportive small team dedicated to delivering best possible outcomes for clients.

Opportunity

You’ll be provided with a professional working environment including a large comfortable air-conditioned office, onsite free parking, work laptop and work smartphone.  Remuneration based on experience and qualifications.  You’ll be able to commit to working across 2 to 4 days per week in line with client growth.

Essential

  • Counselling qualification (bachelor’s degree or higher).
  • Current registration with a relevant industry association (e.g. ACA, PACFA).
  • Dependable time-management in meeting clients’ scheduled sessions.
  • Can demonstrate a record of progressive professional development.
  • Comfortable working unsupervised/autonomously, if required.
  • High emotional resilience to empathetically connect with and guide a wide range of clients.
  • Supportive, cheerful, and cooperative attitude.
  • Respectful of tight professional boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Blue Card or willing to obtain.
  • Satisfactory Police Check.
  • Strong work ethic.
